ROCK VALLEY COLLEGE
Point Ready Mix was proud to host a group of Rock Valley College students and their instructor, Norb Ziemer, on September 28, 2021 at their Belvidere plant. The students are taking a Materials and Processes course, which is part of Rock Valley College’s Manufacturing Engineering Technology program. The visit consisted of a plant tour highlighting raw material storage and handling, quality control testing and computer-controlled batching of ready mix concrete. The tour ended with a presentation on the basics of concrete, air entrainment in concrete and chemical admixtures.
